and doing pretty well.

Thank you all!

Yes, I did have a heart attack, my second. My first one was in 2003.

They put in another stent, and said that the stent from 2003 was in good condition.

I have horrible genetics, all four grandparents, both parents had heart disease to one extent or another.

Also, with the diabetes...uncontrolleddiabetes can cause damage to the blood vessels in the heart. My diabetes was not under best control all the time.

My backdoor neighbour (multi family bldg), was looking in on Boris. He's fine.

I had excellent care, but the cutest of the nurses was today, Saturday. He had a nice voice.

One of the bad parts was having my chest hair ripped off with the telemetry patches. The truly worst part was yesterday after the catheterisation.. having to lie flat and still for over 6 hours. The arthritis in my lower back and right hip was more painful than the heart. However, they kept me nicely comfortable on heavy duty pain meds. Pain meds are good.

I'm home, and will be going through my emails

Thank you , thank you, thank you, and did I say

Thank you?

Love and laughter,

Lawrence/Maytagbear

(Today, October 13, would have been my Mother's 86th birthday, had she lived.)

I'm ok, just tired.

Thank God!

Thanks for checking in Lawrence.

I'm glad that it wasn't worse then it was.

Take care of yourself and I hope you feel better soon.

Mike

Stay on the recovery! Keep yourself under control!

My maternal grandfather died of a heart attack at age 47 (in 1964). It wasn't his first. I suppose that doesn't bode very well for me, although medical treatments have advanced a lot from where they were 40 years ago.

Welcome Back, Lawrence

Lawrence:
Glad to hear you are back home and getting some much-needed rest. My prayers to you for a speedy recovery and good health.
PS: Cute nurses are always a plus--sponge baths are a very good thing!

So glad that you are out of the hospital. I wish you a speedy and pleasant recovery at home. Has Boris donned the nurse's cap yet? I'll bet he has.

Take care.

Bruce

I'm glad to hear that you're home.

Both the home where you live, and this home right here.

If you can't follow Doctor's orders about both the diabetes and the cardiac situation, I'm afraid you're just going to have to get a live-in nurse to watch after you.

Preferably a cute one with a nice voice.
