After drying, how much can you smell softener/detergent, and how intense it is?
I like my clothes to smell like softener, or detergent, but unfortunatley, after drying cycle, clothes are smelling like normal air, nothing fresh :(
I have a vented Whirlpool AWZ3303 dryer.
What is strange, is that clothes still have smell of softener when I am drying them on the line.
I thought it is because of the washer, but then I started putting more softener, and at the end of the wash cycle, smell of the softener was so strong (could sense it in every part of my home), and after drying cycle, it feels like I didn"t put softener at all!
What should I do? any help?

ahh dryer sheets!

I forgot to say I tried with them, but again some things were dry, some not.
I used Lenor, and Denk Mit.. Lenor had even worse results than DM. I even put inside 2-3 sheets, and still the same.. maybe it"s because dryer is vented?
Or maybe it"s because I am always washing/drying large loads (4kg or more)!

try a condenser dryer

If you had a condenser dryer, you would still smell all the aroma as the air passing through the clothes doesn't escape. I have the same experience with my dryers that vent outdoors.

Dryer sheets leave a wax build up in the lint filter screens and can cause serious issues that can lead to a severe fire hazard. I use either permanent press or delicate settings that use a lower temperature and will not burn the aroma of the detergent/fabric softener scent(s).because my washer spins at 1200 RPMS, whatever temperature I use dries the load pretty fast.

Hey

That's what I don't like too, when you use softener and you can't smell it after drying. However in my hotpoint ultima condensor ctd80 i can always smell lenor which is what i'm using atm, it's the purple one.

The whole utility area smells like it aswell as the clothes at the end of the drying cycle.

Try using different fabric conditioners?

Good luck

tried alot

I am always using low heat setting, only using high with towels, I thought that conedenser dryer would be better, as it is not venting out the fresh air.
I will try with rinsing out detergent better!
Thanks alot indeed, and if you have any more ideas please write :D
