Herb Alpert's Whipped Cream Album

I have that album, but the Mono version. If you watch the picture closely you'll find the girl is actually wrapped in a white cheap (vinyl) blanket, partly covered with some foam which could well be shaving cream, LOL!

I wish I still had my 1977 Litton 500 Meal-In-One microwave. The absolutely best, most even cooking microwave I've owned. It also allowed me to nicely defrost those large, family-size trays of chicken pieces you find at the grocery. It didn't quite make it to 25 yeaers of age. I had to get a 2.2 cu. ft. panasonic to be able to do such endeavors. As well a use my Visions skillet and chicken fryer to cook cassaroles & such in the microwave.

Thing I miss...

My mom (09/06/91)
The Tappan Range, and the Coppertone Fridge
My 1969 Buick Wildcat (Have the emblem)
My 74 Cutless Salon (Have the emblem to this too)with rotating seats...what fun! LOL
My old Victrola and a Jukebox
alot more stuff, but most of all...
My sanity!

The 1961 Coldspot with bottom freezer. Band-Aid pink, huge enough to double as a CD bomb shelter, absolute top of the line with flourescent lighting in the frig compartment and heated freezer floor with drain in the middle for the defrost water. The floor heater was broken and I felt pretty proud of myself for installing the Sears-issued retrofit system for draining the water all by myself. That frig was silent and had the "space master" shelving system with nuclear-esque emblem on the front. It was so huge that I left it behind since it wouldn't fit at my new place.

A 1950 GE 2-door top freezer model, manual defrost. A solid performer I got for my sister from an old lady who was updating her kitchen appliances back in the early 80's. A friend of my sister's really wanted that frig and she sold it to him. Replaced that with an early 60's Coldspot bottom freezer model, not as big or flashy as the pink one and it also needed the defrost retrofit, but it was quiet and well outfitted. Left behind when my sister moved and didn't take anything that huge with her.

I miss my 70's Maytag laundry pair. The dryer drum started to make this loud screeching sound and then just froze up. I loved that dryer, electronic control, completely automatic, turn to the type of fabric you're drying and give the knob a push and that was that. Quiet and efficient. The reliability of the matching washer goes without saying. Couldn't find another used pair of the same type so ended up buying a new Amana pair--total junk. But that rant is over on the thread about things we're glad we don't have anymore.
