Someone broke into my house while I was at work today and took my Speed Queens! They must have been good because the security system didn't activate.

So what is so special about what was left behind?

If you can't see the picts please let me know and tell me what OS you are running. They are rather large files so let them load first.

Nice Washer

I did not know that they had a suds saver DD washer... can you give me the model # also how was the valve did it leak like the BD ones? (Water returning back in the tub) thanks!!!!!

WP SUDS-SAVERS

All WP washers used the same suds valve from 1947-2000. The aluminum bodied valves could sometimes corrode enough to allow the stored water to siphon back into the washer at the end of the cycle. If you have one that does this you need a new two way valve they changed to a plastic material in the early 1980s which eliminated this problem. The valve is still available buy some now before it becomes NLA.

Jamie and Glen got it.

The washer was given to me about 4 years ago in almost new condition. I did add a triple action agitator and a stainless wash basket.

The dryer....well....
I'm one of those who needs to have a matched set. The dryer was actually a match to a Kenmore Catalyst washer. The dryer had a bad board and wasn't going to get fixed. I figured it would be a close enough match to the washer, the only problem was finding a control panel and harness. Digging around I found what I needed, or pretty close to it anyway. The control panel and harness came from a 27in gas dryer. So I basically did a gas to electric conversion. If I ever find the squared off top I will change it.

No Malcolm, I wasn't robbed. But the lady who bought the SQ got one hell of a deal.

Yes Peter, this is the new non-eco top loading Miele. It's simply beautiful!!

Silly question but..........................................

I don't understand, how old were the Speed Queens that you sold? Cause if they were Alliance models, and you sold them for THESE Kenmores, I would say you have a screw loose. LOL

screws loose

Well yes there are a few screws loose, some rusted, some broken and maybe even some bad bearings. I don't try to hide it, everyone knows it. I don't think it's any worse than anyone else in this group.

But we are a SQ dealer so I can get more anytime I want them.

I wanted to go back to a T/L but only if it was a suds saver and because of the shelving in the laundry I only had room for a 27in washer. Although we do have a suds saver Maytag, I would rather have the DD.
