this is such a technical question i know, but i think no one other than this forum would be able to reply to it so i'm here :)

ever since i bought the latest Serie 8 dishwasher, the Extra Clean Zone was turned on, i never turned it off. but over time i realized that i fill that area by normal glasses anyways that aren't even that dirty. so i'm wondering if i turn off the Extra Clean Zone, would it result in a higher pressure on the middle spray, which would result in a better cleaning in the upper third rack? 🤔

what do you guys think? the manual says using Extra Clean Zone results in more water usage somehow, so maybe the machine understands if it's on and adjusts the pressure, but i'm not sure at all. would i get more pressure if i turn it off?

thank you so much!! 🫶🏻

The machines do calibrate for that and motor speed changes accordingly.

Under certain repair circumstances (replacement of main PCB and the SMM at the same time, IIRC) one has to make sure the extra wash zone (regardless of what type you have - depends brand) has to be turned off on the first cycle.
New extra wash zones have a dissolvable barrier that keeps water from flowing through the extra wash zone regardless of its setting, for example on brand new machines.
