Hi all!

I'm wating for some further information about the cycles, as I asked the previous owner to found wheter the original owner's manual can be still available...

In the meantime why don't ask to the "amateurs&quot

Here you are the description (sorry for the rough translation!!) of what is written under the lid about the cycles...as you can see there's only some information about the items and the fabrics you can make go with each cycle...but what about the temperature!? And what about prewash-mainwash!?

1 - Heavy Duty - Program suitable for worksuites, kitchen-towels, bathtowels, ecc. heavy soiled;
2 - Normal Whites - Program suitable for heavy soiled whites and non-colorfast cotton-linen bedsheets, pillowcases, towels, handkerchieves, blouses, shirts, ecc.
3 - Cotton-Linenes - Program suitable for normal whites not much soiled a non-colorfasted cotton-linen, as well as program 2
4 - Non-Colorfasted Cottons - Program suitable for cotton-linen brightly colored and heavy - bedsheets and coloured blouses, common non-colorfast stuff
5 - Colourfast - Program suitable for cotton-linen coloured items - soks and other common coloured items
6 - Nylon and synthetics - Program suitable for nylon-terital and synthetics items - silks and wool fabrics non-colourfasted
7 - Wool Silk and coloured delicates - Program suitable for silk items and bright colored wool items
8 - Rinse Cycle - Program suitable for short rinse, extremely delicate wash cycle and "azzurratura"

The experiment...

The first time I used it I had to look at in which one of the two detergent dispensers the water started to go to fill with the powder the right one!

Then before to try completely the 8 cycles I tried this experiment. If you push "I" the machine start to mak the timer go but as none cycle has been selected the machine behave as you made rotating a common knob with the power-on...so you hear at each TAC wat is the correspondant action so:
- fill cold the prewash
- heat (you see that because of a little red flash on heating elements red lamp)
- fill cold the wash;
- fill hot the wash;
- heat (here the flash is loger)
- fill cold (before drain the wash)
- fill cold each rinse
- stop

If you want to spin only you have to start and then before the stop after the last fill press any button...generally I press the 8.

Here you are the the original timeline (Thanks to a very good friend!) as the machine came out without!

Here it is my solution...

So trying to start each cycle I discovered which one has the prewash and which hasn't, here you are my "solution":

1 - hot prewash (45-50°C) - Long/Boosted Hot (90°C) Wash - 4 Rinses - Spin
2 - cold prewash - Long/Boosted Hot (90°C) wash - 4 Rinses - Spin
3 - No Prewash - Long/Boosted Hot (90°C) wash - 4 Rinses - Spin
4 - Cold Prewash - Medshort/Hot filled(60°C) wash - 3 Rinses - Spin
5 * Cold Prewash - Medshort/Warm (45-50°C) wash - 3 Rinses - Spin
6 - No prewash - Short/Warm (45-50°C) wash - 3 Rinses - Spin
7 - No prewash - Short/Cold (30-40°C) wash - 3 Rinses - Spin
8 * No prewash - One cold fill, short agigation period, drain, spin

5 and 8 are signed because they're the only two I tried completely...

Interesting how the 5 has got the prewash...maybe american friends won't find this strange but here for European the prewash is generally a Whites/Heavy duty prerogative...
A friend explained me that this was because at that era detergent was not so active as those of nowadays so it was a must to have a prewash in a warm cycle to prevent saturation of wash water.

8 cycle says "Azzurratura"... My Aunt told me that in past using chlorinated substances to wash and sanitize clothes they briefly became "yellow"...so to avoid this they needed to "azzurrare"...solving a little amount of "INDACO"(here it was called "Azzurrina" that was a powder coloured blue-purple) in the water this becase just "azzurra" (light blue) and they could so give back to clothes thi right WHITE after have wash them.
This was a strictly handwash practice but as this washin machine was just the first automation just when many people yet had to hand wash this allow them to do a hand -action with the machine...
The level in this cycle is rellay a ton of water...quite empty the entire tub...I feel it rise uppre then the bearings!!!

What you discribed as "azzurrare" isn't that bluing? Yes your machine is beautiful:D keep it in good condition and it will serve you for many many years!!!

But you could skip the prewash by choosing a cycle and when de the timer advances turn the programknod to off and let the timer advance to mainwash and then choose the cylce you want...

Grazie GIGI!

Thank you very much Louis, is very kindly from you this!
To avoid the prewash in those cycle where the prewash is I just do like askomiele has said. I power on the machine and wait for the indicator being on mainwash section to push the wanted cycle.

Luois, this chart shows 15 programs but even if mine's got only 8 most of them are very similar...
1-2-4-5 have got prewash
3-6-7 haven't got prewash
8 is a rinse only!

I suppose that the solution I gave some post above can be the right one...but I won't never know anything about each cycle temperature until I'll put a temperature-prob in the outer tub to check the right Celsius degrees.

BYE!
Diomede

PS: Anywasy one goal is already got! We know which cycle start with prewash and which one doesn't and how to pass over it!
