Sort of.....lol.......
I originally posted this Turquois Maytag set that was found on Craigslist and the more i thought about them the more i wanted them...This is my very first set of vintage appliances with a lighted control panel.....I'm excited! There are a couple minor issues with them but overall they are near perfect. I'll need to located some lid pins for the washer and the dryer does have a scratch on the front. But otherwise they are in very nice condition....Would be interested in finding out what year they were made...the model # is TA702 serial #223497QV for the washer and model # T-DE702 serial # 606497QC
The pictures are before pics and will hopefully get them cleaned up this afternoon sometime....more pictures and a video to come!

Very nice - congrats on the new set! My favorite Maytag color.

While the lid is loose, take it into a paint store (a real one, not Lowes, etc) and have them mix you a quart of oil-based gloss porch and floor paint to match the lid. I did this with a couple of machines and it works like a charm, the paint is extremely durable for touching up even minor chips on porcelain.

How is the tub in the washer? Did you try to remove the agitator?

Oops! forgot the money shot.

Did you try to remove the agitator?

No not yet.....hopefully this afternoon i can start getting them cleaned up and checked out....They have been in storage for 8 years so they might need new seals.

thanks guys! I'm excited as hell about getting these...I've always wanted a set with the lighted control panel and now I have one.

Mark - you are a lucky man, congrats on the beautiful set! The tub appears to be in great shape, and certainly looks like it has an original bakelite agitator to boot. These were darn close to the end of the line for the '00 and '02 style machines - just a few months later in January of 1966 the '06 machines came out.

A great set in great hands - thanks for sharing!

Ben
