Frankly, that spin solenoid looks like a pretty common industrial type, and I bet you could even take it apart and rewind it, if it's bad.
Years ago, a lot of stuff, seals, o rings, bearings, were (and usually still ARE) catalog items. So the 'genuine parts' you buy might just be someone else's part rebranded. Not that that's bad. GE, GM, Whirlpool, etc likely didn't want to make their own bearings, and seals, and all, so they used whatever catalog items they could.
