I was tooling around E-bay and came across this machine for 999.99.Perfect for a colector or a prop for a play. I would love to have their budget.Fabulous in pink, What do you think? Do you REALLY think that it is worth what they are asking?

Another source of amusement for those of us who know that the same, or very similar machine can be had with a little persistence, patience and time for around $6.

The fact that he's willing to deliver anywhere in Florida for free tells me that he paid around $6 as well!

keep in mind that is a "buy it now" price period, seller probably doesn't expect to get a grand either, he just wants to see and/or try to get as much as possible ........ I would be shocked if he got more than a couple hundred bucks ........ but you can't blame the guy for trying, he has nothing to lose and unfortunately you cannot list anything on ebay with just "best offer" period. People get annoyed either way/either side; sellers want as much as possible and buyers want to pay as little as possible. Understandable on both sides. I have sold apps recently and people don't reply when I say "make an offer" because they don't want to make an offer that they are comfortable with because "they may be spending to much", or they simply don't want the ball in their court to make that decision or their not interested enough. Interesting psychological dynamics. I have learned, that I am better off just asking what I want for something and negotiate from there or list on ebay with a reserve.

That machine has been listed umpteen times. One of the first times it was $4,000.

I can understand that people may think that something is "valuable" but who on earth would think an old wringer is worth $4000? Thats is a bit more than being cheeky and seeing what you get! Its an old piece of machinery at the end of the day not jewellry or crystal or silver or gold!
