Jenn Air Convection Oven

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Ralph, yes it has a working fan assembly, I also have a spare fan, and could get another one if I acted quick, you need one?

Ken, I found a gorgeous one (washer) about a year ago, I gave it to one of our heavy hitters, who has yet to unvail it. I had no idea what I had when I got it. But, Patience, patience, patience, one will come along in due time, your request is on my (long) list...

Ooh.

Baby wants that!

Seriously, nice Jenn-Air. I've always lusted after one from that generation, but they don't turn up too often. When they were the latest thing, a friend had one with the electrostatic air-cleaner base (the "Anywhere Jenn-Air"). It had the open-coil modules, which I prefer to the smooth-top ones. Nice, nice, nice range.

Someone round the corner from us just tossed one out in the trash this past Tuesday and there's a white newer Jenn Air at the Habitat Restore here, the one with electronic touchpad controls for the oven for $200.. but even nicer is an older Dacor downdraft.. I must try and remember to go get at pic of them tomorrow.. remind me..

LIKE OMG!!!! I LOVE IT!!! I remember that model very well because my aunt and uncle remodeled their kitchen back in 1984 and they got the same Jenn Air range. I distinctly remember the grill feature and how "cool" it seemed to have an indoor grill. My question is did these ranges have the option of a flat cooking surface or having standard burners?

Steven, these Jenn Air's have modules that plug in the two slots. I have all the modules, flat top, coil, sealed, grill and griddle. If you like, it, it 's for sale at a very reasonable price. Have you heard about Michigan's economy? I have a lot of other stuff.

Mike, Thanks so much for offering to sell it to me. Unfortunately, I have absolutely no room at my apartment or in storage since most of my collection is vacuums. The good news is that I am looking at buying a home in the next few months sooooo that might be my opportunity to get one of these ranges to put in my kitchen in the future.

Matt, you listed most everything...

but the deep fat fryer. My brother had/has a deep fat fryer made for the Jenn Air, but I don't recall if it was a cartridge set up. Have you got one or seen one?

I'll have to ask my brother if he still has it, they are on their second Jenn Air, got their first in '88 and replaced it in 2005. Dave uses the grill 4 or 5 times a week, says he wouldn't be without it. Doesn't even bother to grill outdoors, sorry that's too much for me -- I need my steak, chicken and ribs on the real grill.

I think the electric JA grills are better at what they do. On our dual fuel model, the exhaust fan seemed to suck the gas flame sideways and grilling results were uneven at best. We only used the grill a couple of times. Once we poured a patio and bought a nice outdoor grill, we never touched the JA's grill again.

Our dual fuel model is up for grabs too, by the way. It looks a lot like Matt's in styling but has the controls and knobs on the front, not the top, and some extra parts. My favorite feature on it is the minute timer. It will continue to beep periodically for about 10 minutes after initial notification. Works well when you're dealing with the occassional period of short term memory loss ;-)
