I know Whirlpool built a 24" compact full size dryer that had a lint filter that was in the back. I believe they have the same capacity as the portable dryers.

There were some 29" W 5.9 CF WP built KM dryers that had the same lint filter as the 3.4 CF 24" W dryers, But there were never any Full Size 24" dryers, your question does not make sense.

Unless he is referring to the 24 inch washer and dryer pairs which were counter height like your neighbors had in GHI?

I've seen a Kenmore washer and dryer for sale on the Los Angeles Craigslist earlier this year, but the dryer looked narrower than the washer.
