Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

They only just appeared on their website in the last month. Have been looking for an inexpensive set for a while and monitoring Costco.com often. They may have had the Amana's but as my house does not get turned back to me for another week, did not want to order too soon.

My washer and dryer are set to be delivered on the 12th. Apparently, standard hoses are included. Should I use these or upgrade to better hoses? Kindly advise. Thank you!

That's kinda what I thought! Thanks so much! You all are so good and generous sharing your knowledge and expertise!!!!

Are braided-covered hoses really substantially better?  I've never bought/used them, although one of my washers included a set when it was bought new in 2004.  The braiding on them is deteriorating, as if shredding apart ... although it's probably not really stainless steel braiding and the deterioration is probably due to UV exposure from a window over the past 10-ish years.

Any hose is fine as long as you are with the washer until done and TURN OFF the taps after. My original Maytag hoses are 37 years old but I make sure both faucets are off when the last load is finished. I have the seen major damage when a hose bursts and floods. Easier to be safe than sorry later.

Ended up using braided hoses they provided. New washer is not advancing past sensing. Sigh!

Working as it should on the third load.[this post was last edited: 5/15/2021-20:35]
