Stumbled upon his YouTube videos 6 months ago when he was repairing a 1990 Maytag dryer. Installed a motor and belt (belt was date coded as original), the matching washer needed nothing.
I usually watch them for entertainment on how cheap and complex modern appliances are, especially running diagnosis modes. He mentioned several times that old washers and dryers are sold before they're out the door. He's got a long waiting list of people looking for the good old stuff. He loves the old direct drive washers and old Maytags.
He also has some intriguing videos converting failed digital control board ranges to mechanical units. The range he converted was sold while cooling down from a test after the repair.
