Jamie is visiting from Michigan for the weekend, so I thought it would be fun to throw a little local wash in. Being the busy host keeping the machines running I only snapped about 15 pictures and didn't get everyone in these shots, but Jed took over 120 pictures and he said he is gonna post those when he can.

Jamie (pulsator), David (Karen's Husband), Karen (ms. jetcone), Jed (tuthill).

Good Choice!

Jed's had never seen a vintage washer before, he's never even seen a belt-drive Whirlpool or Kenmore run before! He got to choose what he wanted to see first and picked the '55 Unimatic.

1956 Hotpoint

Harriet's Hotpoint is giving the someones sheets (I don't know who's everyone brought wash to do) a good final rinse...

Last picture, David smiles for the camera. Jed was snapping washer action shots all night, so we should be in for a real treat.

Beautiful machines, beautiful people

I'd have a ball with that pig--she'd be my favorite

Love how the one-eyed Easy watches all the fun from her throne in the closet

Didn't know you had the same Uni I do. Awesome. Does yours have the red-botton Rudolph nose--mine doesn't. ;'(

How nice to see Dennis again--been a long time.

Thanks again for your legendary generosity

XXOO to all

;'D

Wash Ins are always so much fun and it looks like you guys are sure enjoying it!! It is so nice to see some old friends again. Looks like Gladys is really enjoying the attention!

Hi Robert. Looks like you all had a great time. I sent a copy of the Hotpoint picture to my cousin in Massachusetts. I remember her mother having the same machine. I spent many hours parked in front of that Hotpoint. I always like the red agitator and the red clothes guard on top.

Oh Wow!

What fun!
Everyone looks great! Including Gladys! (I can't get over how little she is)
Your basement looks so great Robert!
I can't get over how grown up Jamie is now! (I am sure that he is sick of hearing that!)
Thanks for all of the photo's. Looks like you all had so much fun!

Hey guys!

My first wash-in since joining the club in January! And yes, Robert is right, I've never seen a vintage washing machine before! (besides the center-dial 'tag that started it all). Robert's basement is simply amazing, as I felt like a 7 year old kid again at Sears, checking out every single washer inside and out.

It was nice meeting some of the club members; I'm horrible with names but hopefully I'll remember some of you guys.

O, what's that? You want to see some pictures? :):):):)

My very 1st vintage load!

This is the load that corresponds with Robert's pictures in the first two posts of the thread. Note how I only have the finished product as I was too enthralled by the cycle to be busied with picture taking!

If I could choose one...

After the inagural cycle in '55 Uni, I simply knew what was next. The '57 pink Lady Kenmore set was drawing me. These machines were definately my favorite of Robert's collection. Just something about them that I can't explain.
