I am helping a friend revive his late 1960s GE dryer.  It turns out the primary problem was that the old motor had seized.  The old motor is probably repairable, but as luck would have it we have an identical donor motor on hand.  Here's the issue, the old motor has a belt pulley on it that is proving to be difficult to remove.  What is odd about this particular pulley and belt combination is that I have never seen one before that had a 3 ribbed belt with a pulley that matches.  I have only worked on later GE dryers that used a 4 ribbed belt.

Here's the pulley and belt:

Mark, What have you tried so far to get the pulley off? Can you get the setscrew out??

I'm guessing you can't see the end of the motor shaft to use a puller... My first attempt would be soak with PB Blaster into the screw hole then get the pulley good and hot and it should pop off.

If you can't get the screw out or it just won't come off let me know. I have a shop here in Eden Prairie and I could get it off!
