Well, it's been a long time since I did a video...and I wanted to do something different. So, I couldn't think of a better short film subject than Laundry Day! And there is nowhere else on earth that this video will be more appreciated than with my friends on here. I hope you enjoy.

I am considering a speed queen top load

Would it be a good investment? how long do they usually last? i just want a washer that wont break within the first 4 or 5 years lol i have had my fair share of them and frankly quite fed up with the quality of appliances these days.....

I've had this set for almost three years with no issues, bought a second set for my condo last year, no issues...and now my sister owns a set...no issues either. I bought my Speed Queens based on high recommendations from the folks on this site, and have been very pleased.

@danmantn

Thanks for the advice, what is the brand of that beautiful pale blue powder you use? and the softener? i would like to try them if they also give good results and rinse out good....main reason i don't like powder is because it always seems to stick to my clothes even when i follow the instructions right.....

Powder is Fresh Start. It's terrible detergent for stains, but I like the color and fragrance and use it occasionally. Fabric softener was Fuller brand (as in Fuller Brush company).

Harris Teeter is the only retail store that I found it. It's terrible detergent, only use it as a flashback of the 80s, :)

Mac!

Drats!

I'm trying to find a video editor for Win7 that's decent and easy. I was thinking that it was probably a Mac production, they make it so easy!

Thanks

Whats not to like....serene, calming, beautiful, enjoyable........

that typewriter was a nice touch...all I could think of was "Murder, She Wrote"....

Very good video I am about to go use my Speed Queen they are great I have one and so does my mother. Is there a Fuller outlet near you and how far is it from Memphis I may need to make a raod trip soon. Carl

Hey Dan what a very nice video true quality.

I could smell the detergent when you poured it and felt

like I was right there in your home.. a little typeing ,vacuuming and all the

while paying attention to the wash THAT's Laundry is right.

Well a couple of day's ago I convinced my buddy to get

a Speed Queen for his duplex where he rents out

saying that they always call him because the Whirlpool

DD washer would walk across the floor.

 And sadly so.. they do.

So through everybody's excitment on here about this machine

and you.. your the one that really put a great face on this machine, we got the washer .

AWN311 is the one I picked put I don't thank the need more options.

So I made my buddy watch three videos of yours witch are GREAT by the way.

So I watched them 30 times lol.

Mike

Malcolm

Jon

and others where an insperation as well.

I no this washer is not walking and it is a strong unit.

I talked to Martin today we both chatted you up on how

nice your SQ videos are and thanks.

Fuller products my grandmother swore on that brand of goods.

She always got the Fuller mops from the catalog and some cleaning supplies.

Never seen or used the softner how is it and the smell of the softner ?

Here is the model like you dont no lol.

And this one... any other washer including some front loaders
will puke on all the water coming out of heavy fabrics when spinning
This pump really had NO problem pushing that water right out without dragging.
Very strong !
Now I cant wait to see it in real action this week.
I'm going to tweak the water level and bypass the lid switch.

The Fuller softener has a wonderful, old-school smell to it. It's a bit flowery, but very old fashioned smelling. It is very concentrated--almost a gel. I pre-mix it before measuring it out since it so thick--if I don't, it sticks to the dispenser. It's actually very dark blue--what you see is the diluted version. I don't use it as my daily driver, but I do like to use it on sheets and towels. I have a house full of Fuller products - mostly because they are old fashioned and look and work the way they did 50 years ago. Don't mess with what works. They are online as well.

The Speed Queen has never walked on me - make sure they install those "magical" rubber caps on the washer legs and level that puppy!

Thanks for the kind remarks on the videos. When I was in the market several years ago, there wasn't much out there...so I decided to "pay it forward" as they say to some other shopper. As we all know, Speed Queen doesn't advertise...so I wanted to help the next guy out.

Here's hoping to much success with the 311...and that it may last two decades for you!

P.S. Don't forget to "prime the pump" on the Speed Queen -- 1+ quart of water before you turn it on.

Perfect

Your video captures the very essence of a laid back, at home, laundry day. As others have said, so peaceful and relaxing.  Even the colorful selection of items laundered and loading technique were perfectly on point.  Wow, I'd never observed the action of a Speed Queen TL - what a piece of precision workmanship! Excellent music ties it all together into a cohesive, completely finished product of professional quality.

Thanks for sharing. May have to look into a Speed Queen.

Stumbled...

upon this video on YT last night. Had to keep looking back to see who posted it. It sure looks like MARKETING material for SQ.

Maybe they can contract you out to build some online commercials for their TL machines. Lord knows they could use it!

Malcolm

At first, when I was watching this, I was half expecting a voiceover for a short infomercial. This looks very professionally produced... You did an awesome job.

I can almost imagine the ad copy voiceover in my head right now...

I really wish that they'd make commercials like this. It was very laid back. This is a great way to sell these machines.

Thank you very much for producing this video. It almost makes me want to go back to using a top loader again.

Damn, now I'm really tempted to write the ad copy...
