Lets talk Windows!

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Wow, a full-sized dishwasher with a window, that's brilliant!  I've always wondered since FL washers have windows, why not dishwashers?

its was only a matter of time......when Fl's first came out, no one wanted a window, they didn't care what went on inside, and then they changed their minds, suddenly they wanted to see what went on inside......same for dryers.......

but this window, or even on TL's, having the machine work with the lid open shows what is really happenning inside, rather than second guess, that it should be cleaning clothes effectively......that was my big deal about Maytags, the manufacturers claimed the lid switch to shut everything down was for safety only, but what it was doing was hiding how the machine performed under most loads, also explains why the lid button was hidden and hard to override, compared to all other machines out there!....

now were onto dishwashers, soon the whole door will be tempered glass, which would be a great look......

I am game for a fridge with a tempered glass windowed door, just like in the grocery store....that way I can see what I want to select before opening the door, wasting energy!

That dishwasher sure is strange! (And ugly if you ask me!)

Look at the size: it is 60 cm deep but only 50 cm wide and only 62 cm tall!!

I do believe a lcub member from south america has one of these in their kitchen, or a family member's kitchen.  I remember thinking the top rack was an exaggerated Hobart KitchenAid shape.  The machine is a 1-level wash wonder.

Sorry for the confusion....what I was meaning was when Maytag came out with the first Neptunes 3000 thru 7500, with the solid door, and matching dryer, when asked they said of all consumers asked, a window was not needed or required, they did not have to see what was going on.....well, they didn't asnk me....and for the same reason of the machine not working with the lid open is one reason I would never own a Maytag TL or use one at a laundromat, unless I could override the switch.....that was just me.....

I do like that fridge with the glass door......beauty and function......I laugh when I see a wine fridge/cooler, and think, what does it matter if I can only see the cork, you have to open the door and pull each one out!

Ok guys.. this is the compact dishwasher made by Brastemp (Whirlpool Brazil).

If you can see this is a simple model designed for plates and glasses. Not efficient with pots or pans because the jets are so lights and the heating ellement not so powerfull. Look the upper rack without, this model have spray arm on top.

That would be so cool to have a window on a dishwasher!

I wonder the reason it's not popular in the US is the fact that most people might find it to be an eyesore because you can see dirty dishes stacked on the inside waiting to be washed?

Perhaps they could make some sort of slider to cover it when not in use, and for those who want to watch while it's in operation, slide it down to view the window.

I would love it

They could use this electric-thingy technology, where windows are either see-through or turn into a mirror-like surface depending on the electric current that flows through the window pane.
