I just recently purchased this machine locally for a family member who has limited space and no available 220v, gas connections, or venting options. This is in great shape and it’s perfect for a single person. Unfortunately sometimes it will not power up at all or it will completely lose all power mid cycle. I’m wondering if this is a common issue and if so what the problem usually is. I’m guessing a circuit board but I’m hoping I don’t have to drop hundreds of dollars into it if possible. I appreciate your help and also wanted to say hi. I’ve been busy for a while now and it’s nice to hear from you guys!

Noise Filter or Control Board

I’m guessing it’s one of those two things. The noise filter is not too expensive but the main board is about $200 which would be very sad 😭.

While you have the lid off also check to see if you have a broken wire that may either break when the drum moves or when it gets hot.

A few years ago we had a Zanussi washing machine that would do exactly the same as what you describe there was a wire that went to the door switch which controlled the power supply it had started to break down and the movement of the drum caused it to wear away like the wire inside a DW door.

Sorry am rambling but I am sure you get the gist of it all ? lol
