I bought a couple of the 650g bags of Viva "Fresh Lavanda" (Fresh Lavender) detergent awhile back when I was in Kenosha, WI to visit my sister and her family. I've been unsuccessful finding it again at any of the Mexican grocery stores I've stopped at. Could someone help me out? It has a very light scent, and smells especially nice when used on bed linens that are line dried.

Where in Kenosha?

Where did you get it in Kenosha? I am just outside of Kenosha (10 miles west between Kenosha and Lake Geneva) and get into town a couple times a week. I can check wherever you got it and see if it's still available.

Heather,

I know it was somewhere on 52nd St., but not sure which one as there are several on that street. There is one that is larger, and a couple little corner Mom & Pop-type stores. It might have been on the east end of 52nd St. Just not exactly sure. I was on my out of town when I stopped, and was in a hurry, thus the poor memory.

I saw this at a Mexican supermarket that suddenly sprouted up in Norwalk, CT. Don't know how long that market has been there but it could not have been more than 2 years or so, but it is already completely run down and neglected. I digress. Didn't get any Viva Lavender when I saw it since it appears to be phosphate free. Next time I am around there, I will stop in and see if they have some and I will report back.

Maybe it was something that was available for a limited time only. Whatever the case, the stuff has a nice light floral scent, and really smells great when used on things that are line dried. Heather, if you happen to read this, I'll be going to Kenosha again April 10th for my nephew's b-day, so I'll check out the tienda's while there. Thanks for your offer.

I checked today at a few as we went to Lake Michigan to walk around but no dice. Owners spoke very little english so after trying to ask about it at one store, I gave up! LOL

Hope you find it!!

Thanks for looking Heather, I'll give it a shot in a few weeks. I'm going to take an empty package along as a visual aid, wish me luck.

That's a great idea, a visual aid! I used to know Spanish but that went by the wayside after I moved away from Arizona at the age of 20.

Good luck. Let me know which one you find it at. I went to 2 down near the Salvation Army store (can't remember the street but it looks like a mini downtown area with angled parking, storefronts, etc).
