I'll soon be taking delivery of my first SQ. ( Yes, I'm totally stoked. ) This will be a slab on grade garage install and with a high tide plus heavy rain there is the very slight possibility of one or two inches of water on the concrete floor. How high would water have to get to do any significant damage and what is the best way to install the unit raised off the floor by a few inches?

Flooding A SQ TL Washer

If the flooding stays at less than 3" the only possible damage may be rusty leveling feet over an extended time period, if you fear more water than this is likely then put it on a raised slab. Once you get to 5" or more of water the lower end of the motor and Idler pulley get wet and every once in many years this probably will not cause any harm, but it is probably best avoided.

Thanks members

I especially appreciate the detailed flooding response. ( I can almost visualize the inside of the unit. ) It looks like a 6" DIY concrete slab will keep me out of trouble.
