Well I have one of those maytag recalled units. Thought I was going to lose my mind trying to get thru call center. What a thrill to find out it was a recalled unit.
I got the parts in 3 daysand now starts the drama. Whirlpool will not allow the maytag dealer (sold and installed the recalled one) do the repair claimed they never were a dealer or repaire center. They want to use the worst people who most of the time dont show up for weeks to repair.
Should I just get a new one (non whirlpool) or pay the 100 bucks to get the parts installed

Thanks for any ideas

Whirlpool and Maytag

I sensed that Whirlpool is doing everything they can do do away with the legacy Maytag designs and stuff. Despite the fact that my 13 year old basic Whirlpool dishwashwer does a reasonable job, I wouldn't get another Whirlpool now. I'm still frustrated with my recent Whirlpool topload washer purchase. During the neutral drain the machine growls like a caged predator, until the it suddenly stops with a loud steel "clank" like the sound of a steel trap putting the thing out of it's misery. I still may donate it and get the only original Maytag Dependable Care to replace it.
