I picked up this stack unit today, took it apart and cleaned it. It is very interesting. Anyone know year made LSE7804ACE 18955367QM

Here are the pics

Mfg in June, 1996. I sure hope that isn't the permanent routing for the vent hose. That hanging loop I see will collect lint/moisture... Otherwise, a very nice standard capacity, single speed setup with electronic dry control! Might I enquire what it set you back?

Stack details

I picked it up for $200. The venting is temporary. I have to pull out a shelf and slid it over, I have the metal duct ready to go. I may sell it, the dryer capacity is a bit smaller than I need when I dry comforters, but I may settle for it and just take the comforters to the laundromat. Thx for the info.

Cool!

I have never seen a Maytag stackable either. How much does the washer hold? A video of washer would be interesting.

Jay, was that pic of the inside of the washer taken before or after cleaning? That booger sho is clean. I really like this set. I had one once but it was really ragged out. It was a trade-in so I scrapped it out for parts.

before and afters

The pics are before I cleaned the tub out, the fabric softner dispenser was soaking. I will try to do the video asap. I like the sloshing sound it makes when it agitates. On large load it fills to the top of the tub which I really like. I was able fit in 6 large bath towels and a few cloths and it had plenty of wash capacity. The dry time was accurate as well. I m pleased.

Dryer.

What size is the dryer and does it compare to the Halo of Heat or the newer size in capacity and design?

This one is new to me,
Dave

Ever notice that the new stacked washers and dryers of this style these days all seem to be WCI with a plastic tub? I have seen them badged as Frigidaire, GE, Kenmore, etc...

Stacked

AWF - WCI is White Consolodated Industries - now Electrolux aka frigidaire.

Whirlpool and Frigidaire are the only mfg s left making stacks, to my knowledge.

Nice Maytag!

Never understood Whirlpool's penchant for locationg the controls at the top of that model. Diffucult for the vertically challenged.

Methinks the washer is smaller in capacity to accomodte the smaller (in depth/capacity) dryer.

If electric how many watts is the heater?
If gas how many BTUs?
I woeuld imagine somewhat "weaker" than what one would expect in a full-sized US manchine.

What about the Aussie veriosn? What are the heat inputs on that puppy? Where was it made? I would imagine dedicated speical-purpose 30a circuits are rare.

Thanks all.
