My name is John. I reside in Greensburg, PA (40 East of Pittsburgh).

A year ago, we purchased an older home. In the basement was a Maytag Automatic washer. It was given to the wife of the fellow who owned the home back in 1964. She had several wringer type washers that she used and never got around to using the gift her husband gave her. The washer has never been hooked up or turned on. It still has some of the paperwork that came with it as well as the box of Tide and the rubber hoses that come with it. It still sits on the shipping materials that it sat on when it was delivered on Ash Wednesday 1964.

They would like to find a good home for this machine...

That's just amazing, how fun to see the original stickers and so forth as well. Someone will really treasure this item.

GASP!!!

WHAT A FIND, a never-used A700, with the original information sticker no less! This is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

What a gem!!! Steve I am thinking that is a cold water rinse selector but you know I could be wrong. This machine is going to make someone really happy and YAY it has the lighted console. Terry

Wow - truly an amazing find. This is almost as special as the 10 millionth Maytag that is at the Jasper County Museum - a brand new 1956 140 AMP, with the hoses and shipping ring still in tact. The only difference with that machine and this is - the 140 was probably never crated - this was. Absolutely cool washer -

Wow - PA has had its fair share of goodies lately!

Ben
