Water temp out of the cold tap faucet is a balmy 81F here in the sunny Central Florida Nature Coast....
My water comes out of a well so it is real cold year round.
74F from the meter for outside water use without billing for sewer. I only have to clear the water that is in the outside hose so it is not cold water that is warmed by sitting in the pipes that are at the ceiling of the basement. I watered into the soil the fertilizer that I applied to the bananas and had a steady reading of 74F.

That being said, we had a lot of excited and optimistic unofficial forecasts for 26°C (78.8°F) today. Met Eireann, the Irish meteorological service was being much less excited and they were right. It’s 16°C (60°F) barely hitting 20°C in spots, 93% humidity and cloudy 
Everywhere else in Europe and even places that aren’t all that far away, like most of England is absolutely roasting today. Some of France is far, far too hot. Dangerous heatwave of more than 40°C (104°F) in the West of France, which is way too hot for their Atlantic coast.
However, Ireland sits far away from any continental landmass to ever really get serious heat or cold. Our highest temperature ever recorded is 33.3°C (91.4°F) in the 1800s and it’s never been beaten.

About 82f here, outside San Antonio, 12:30 noon. It’s so hot outside!!!

My 6 gallone water heater
My GE 6 gallon, 2000 watt, 120 volt, water heater I bought in 2010 off CL for $42.
It has worked all this time with the same element. I have it connected with washing machine hoses and the heavy cord from an old large copy machine. I like the portability of it so it's easy enough to empty, lift, and shake the sediment particles out that most water heaters tend to accumulate. Keeping the bottom clean from build up is one key to long life.
I have it plugged into a timer controlled 20 amp outlet. I turn on the switch about 10-15 minutes before I know I'll need a large volume of warm or hot water such as for a shower or doing laundry. It's never disappointed. And so efficient.
These days the day time temp is 80-100 degrees and I can usually go a couple of days now with out turning it on at all. No money wasted on excess water heating OR the Air conditioner running longer because of that excess water heater created heat.

Bradfordwhite, I guess this is a less expensive alternative to installing a heat recovery coil on your air conditioner. Before John found the tempering valve for my cold water line, I was going to use a 20 gallon electric I found at Lowes to temper cold water for rinse fills; don't ask how, but I put hose threads on it like you did.

I was reading recently that I can take the dump load from a solar panel charge controller and connect it to the element and have the equivalent of 200 watts of free heat for it.

Tap Cold Water 8-24-22
I spent about 45 minutes watering the bananas this afternoon and noted that the water felt very pleasant so I dragged out the instant read thermometer and found that it was 85F. I am sure that the banana roots appreciated the warm bath. I guess the high heat that we have had has really warmed up the ground.

I was running some garbage down the disposal today and my instant read thermometer was handy so I checked the temp of the water. It was a bit warmer than I expected at 66 degrees, felt colder than that.
Here in Davenport FL, we are about 30 minutes SW of Disney. Our cold water is 84.3 degrees at 7:49 PM tonight. The non heated inground pool is 82 degrees.
Just checked.. Ours is 73 f. here at the bottom tip of Lake Huron
