No problem!

Your picture taking was much appreciated.

Thank you to everyone who came yesterday, it was quite enjoyable. Some people I met for the first time, I appreciated the chance to have met you. Everyone enjoyed their lunch it seemed. Maybe next time I will have to host a meal instead for everyone!

Laundry time was fun, as it was actual laundry day for me anyway. We had plenty of clothing to occupy the time. How we all managed to squeeze down in my laundry room, was a whole other story! While the washers were cranking away downstairs, the jukebox was playing away upstairs for most of the day.

Seems like the 1-18, given to me by Eddie, was the star of the show. Maybe one day I will get my Unimatic up and running too. I must thank Eric for his donation of a Maytag gas dryer to back up my Kenmore, which I have to hook up yet.

About the jukebox

It is a 1973/74 Wurlitzer 1050. There was about 2000 made before the company went out of business. It holds 50 45's, so 100 selections. To see it in action, it is an amazing piece of technology for its time. It was currently on free-play, so records were cranking away all day. Now to get more records, maybe someone by the name of Darren who told me he had some may be so kind lol.

Happy faces and I-18's

What a nice way to start the day. Thanks for sharing the fun. Pete, the angled shot of the circle jet spray is pretty cool.

You can tell from your faces how much you enjoyed each other's company. Lifts us up.

Thanks Everyone

It was great meeting everyone at long last.

We are without Internet at my Dad's house due to the storm. I can't wait to see the pics on a monitor.

My iPhone is just a tad too small !!! I will write more later

Thanks Again to all. I had a Nice Time and maybe will have a gathering in Mass.

To Peter-Wish I were there...

Hi Guys!

Last weekend I "met" Peter(peteski50)on the phone, we had a very nice chat. I only wish I were able to attend your meeting/lunch, it is apparent all of you had such fun! Especially, if a get-together is in Westchester or Northern NJ, I can get there easily by car. Too bad it seems only one guy(Jerry) lives on Long Island. I am not able to go many places I wish to, due to very limited funds. There is nothing more satisfying to me than to be able to meet-in person-new like-minded people!

Best regards,
Jason

Great photos guys! I always love seeing a 1-18 pound through a load of clothes, and finish it off with the circle spray!

What a nice jukebox!

Looks like a very well kept machine. I have always been a sucker for the Wurlitzer booming-like sound. Even with the bass on very low, the speakers still kick. How's yours sound? How many records does your hold? Mine is a 50 record, 100 selection machine.

Juke Box

The AMI holds 100 records 200 plays, The sound is booming. Ship'd from US to UK and reconditioned to near mint. it had a full re-chrome and re-wire it was made in the mid 1960s are you sure about the date on yours?

Yes, the 1050's were made in 73 to 74 right before Wurlitzer went out of business. Then a company bought the name and made the Sonata 1050's which were badly made, ruining the name in my opinion.
