Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

That's quite disgusting but sadly I know a few people whose laundry is treated that way and you can see and smell the effects! :S Disgusting... that's why when on holiday at friends' I've started bringing my own towels...

Whirlpool designers over the years have played with the design of those dispensers but one thing they never seem to have told the public was when you place Downey in the dispenser it should be mixed with only hot water, not cold. While having both Kenmore & Whirlpool over the years I found the best was probably around the 1999/2000 model year Kenmores that had that big top with the aqua color release ring, these where very easy to keep clean, I would clean it out with hot water, windex, and SHAKE!

you keep your nose OUT of my dryer! Ya hear??

I remember the day I got to part out my Mom's 1970 WP Imperial. She used Ivory flakes exclusively, loved them.
When I took the sub top off, the Ivory had created soap curds all those years and the build up coated the outer tub to the inner tub. It filled the gap and the spinning of the tub is the only thing that kept shaving the top layer off. It was packed right to the drain holes! Complete coverage of the outer tub too! We saved a lot of water there over the years!

John had a customer who went from a wringer washer to a Lady Kenmore 29" combo. She used Ivory Snow and fabric softener to the point where she totally clogged the machine's water system. Sears would not touch it. She got John's name and he took every hose out of the machine and unclogged all of them then told her which detergent to use. I think the combo outlived her.
