Oh god no wonder you're having problems! Take those out NOW and put just about anything else in, American Standard Cadet 3 (or go to a supply house and get the slightly nicer cadet pro), Kohler Cimarron, toto Drake....anything! Yeesh. Those Lowes brand pots are below builder grade IME.
