My cat loves my Washer!

I hate loading the dryer, closing the door, get ready to hit start, reopen the door, check for cat(s), reclose the door, hit start.

Those cats are great! I remember the cat I had as a kid, Smokey enjoyed sitting on top of the G.E. dryer when my mom was doing laundry. The warm cover, and the vibration was purrfectly relaxing! He's never climed in the dryer though. I imagine because the GE was painted with dark speckeled paint inside, and it didn't have a light...but then again, cats usually like exploring dark, secluded places!

I've got that same brownish stain like that on my whirlpool, and wondered what it came from. It's electric too. It won't come off with any cleaner! I was worried that the unit was overheating. It must be just scorched paint. If find that odd, since I usually rarely run it on high, most of the time it stays on medium.

I remember playing in the basement when I was a kid and my mom throwing a handful of clothes from the Laundromat into the Frigidaire Filtrator and the cat shot out of that dryer like a rocket. My mom just about jumped out of her jeans!

I don't wanna bore you all but I once had a cat named "Cricket", she was washed in a dishwasher and a washing machine as a kitten. Evedently she survived long enough to get chewed up a bit when I cranked up my old 1970 model Buick Skylark. She got it on the butt by the fan. She survived yet again and lived to be a ripe old 21 years old. What a cat she was. I now have a cat named "Monkey-Butt" that helps me in my shop while I repair washers and dryers. As a kitten he once crawled up in a dryer vent {GE} I think...and I didn't know it till I plugged it up to check my repair. He shot out like a rocket. I guess the turbalence was too much for him. Monkey-Butt likes to go to the city park, which is across the street from my house, to help me metal detect for coins. I swear to ya that the cat can dig up a coin when I get a beep on my machine. I'm not sure if he really knows what he's doing but he does dig, he is a good imatater of everything I do.

here is my rascal cat Monty checking out the F&P Gentle Annie washer:
We think he is a Turkish Van,or has Van blood in him, they love water. When he was younger he used to sit by the sink waiting for the washer to pump out, and bite at the water stream. Unfortunately he has grown out of that habit, though he has plenty of other quirks to keep us laughing.

Love the pets!

I hope to get a pet again.
.. and pets will still accept you regardless of if you collect appliances. It doesn't even matter how many you have or what type they are. Just amazing.
