My December 11th wash-in was less of a wash-in, more of a Holiday Party

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Fabulous...just fabulous...

Thanks Kevin, for your outstanding video, and for your generous invitation...I wish we could have made it...still have the same t-shirts as you and Rich...
Love the blue/white Westy Commercial Laundromat...when at UGA in the mid-70's, there was a laundromat in Athens near the campus with rows of those...
Looking forward to the sequel...

George

What a wonderful collection!!

Thanks for sharing the pictures and the video. Looks like it was an outstanding success.

Your machines are beautiful. I especially like the Bendix sitting beside the Kenmore Combo.

It's hard to imagine you there in shorts when we're freezing here in the east. I woke up to sleet and ice this morning.

Kevin,

If I had to pick one set from your collection it would be the avocado Whirlpools in post #481969. I know some people think they're tacky, but I think they're just the coolest looking set ever made by any maker.

Excuse me while I go and wipe the drool off my chin! lol

WOW, WOW, WOW!!! I had no idea your collection had grown so much. Beautiful machines, all of them. I especially admire the '58/59 Kenmore combo. I had the Gibson-branded version of your White-Westinghouse stacked pair. Awesome machines, Kevin! Thanks for the tour. I'm sure your 'non-washerhead' friends must have been blown away by your collection.

Awesome

Kevin - Beautiful home, decorations and collection. The new 800 is the exact machine my mother during my childhood - Only in white. I would love to have one someday. Great party!!!

Very sorry I couldn't attend, as it looks like a great time was had by all. The new Kenmore 800 is fantastic, and looks very much like the '67 LK washer of the set my friend Glenna D. had.

In replys #34 & #35 with the Whirlpool "woody" set next to the Kenmore washer, it appears the Avocado color is slightly more yellow on the Whirlpools. Is this because of differences in year made, or did Sears spec a different shade for the Kenmores? Up till now I always thought Kenmore used the same colors as Whirlpool, but perhaps I was wrong.

A COLLECTION TO BE ENVIED INDEED!!!

You didn't miss a beat Kevin. ...Hosting this gathering with ease, the way you did woulda made Martha Stewart proud; LoL!

Good food, Great times mixed with a little Holiday cheer kinda makes you warm & sudsy all over. Or was it because it was around 70 degrees + ha ha!!

Were all those fluorescent lighted machines bouncing back off a solar panel in the sky?? Otherwise, surely you woulda blown a fuse (ducks and runs)!!?? ...

Oh yeah, You're very welcome for the SEARS ULTRA PLUS laundry detergent, PARTY DOWN!!! It's one of the few things left we (they) can put the "SEARS BEST" LABEL on anymore sadly.

Thanks again for a great time.

Kevin:
Ah yes, those precious TOL Whirlpools of yours, A stunning set. It looks like there is another difference between the washer and my 1966 model. It has a tub light! Mine does not. Thanks for the additional pictures and video. Did I see a Maytag Neptune lurking about? Did you ever get touch panel resolved with your Catalyst? I saw all those machines running in the video and thought to myself "Gee he most be pulling some serious KWh, or maybe he had the utility company give him 3phase service!".

Fantastic!

Kevin,
You guys had so much fun!
I love your collection! You have some of everything that makes it all so much fun!
I really love the laundry pairs!
Your collection is awesome.
Thanks for the pictures and the video!
Happy Holidays!
Brent

Wow Kevin, your collection is amazing. My how it has grown over the past few years! That happens to the best of us ;-)

Great video, I love the agitation segments especially.

Very nice collection, Kevin - I amazed again with the pictures this year. What a good assortment of machines too - lots of very fun styles of washing to have fun with. Terry and I were just talking about your collection today and that we need to make a trip out there!
