Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Way to go, Paul!

I am soooooooooooooo happy for you on this one! I had been thinking about you, and wondering how the transmission dealy was going...I'm so glad to see you got it going.

A beautiful machine indeed. And if hubby says NO on bringing it inside, that's easy -- just get rid of the hubby. The washer has been around 46 years, doing what it does best, looking good all the time while doing it! Can hubby match that record, hmmmm?

:-)

Congratulations and way to go!

Way to go Paul!

That is one AWESOME machine! Don't be amazed at how quiet it is. My '60 Multi-Matic is quiet as a church mouse. It is even more quiet than my '65 maytag and the "Tag" is pretty damn quiet. That machine is too nice to be relegated to the garage! It's screaming to be brought inside!
Congrats on a great find!

Detailing

No wax yet (I really must do that though!). I used a cleaner that is normally used for restaurant equipment to remove grease (well-diluted) and found that it cut through accumulated grime really well. I was really lucky that this machine was kept in a dry basement, used infrequently, and not moved or roughed up (well, until I got it... lol). It just goes to show the quality that used to go into these appliance finishes...
