When my sister and I bought a house together, we went to an auction and I bid--and won--a coppertone GE Mobile Maid top load dishwasher for $25
It was in excellent shape; once I hooked it up and filled it with dishes and Cascade (1984 version), it washed and dried the dishes to perfection! It was a bit noisy but it was easy to use and rolled into a corner when not in use.
These days, I live alone and have a condo with a Roper (Whirlpool) built-in dishwasher that works great. But I still miss the old GE. They don't make dishwashers like that anymore.
