Hi Guys,
I have just recieved delivery of a new machine, a Beko WMB81641LC Brushless, 1600rpm 8KG washer. I bought it after the Electrolux decided it wanted to fry its control board, probably not helped by the fact that we never turn it off on the machine and leave it permanently in a state of standby. After both me and partner went away for a few weeks on separate excursions, I came home first to discover no power on at the house. Through process of elimination I found the washer to be the culprit.
The machine tripped the power off constantly every time it was turned on until suddenly there was a small plume of smoke coming out of the control buttons. After that, nothing. My appliance repair friend said the complicated electrics involved with the screen on the Electrolux had just given up after being constantly warmed up for so long. A small power surge while we were away could have knocked out the power and tipped the controls over the edge.
So I found a replacement. ANd that came in the shape of the Beko which I purchased for $698 from Appliances Online, a wonderful site that has fantastic customer service. At half the price of the Electrolux when it was new, I did have my reservations but the look of the machine is great and with an 8kg capacity and 1600spin I figured i didn't have much to lose.
Turns out the machine is amazing! Washes quietly, has two recirculation spray jets, has a very effective Daily/Quick cycle with rinses in deep water and at distribution speed and a pet hair removal option.
The noise it makes when it spins is very pleasing to the ear and even at full 1600 its very quiet.
Check out the pics and I am uploading a few videos throughout today to share also
Heres the machine in all its glory...
