57 Frigidaire Washers

My WI 57 washer does have a gray tub that matches the dryer, the washer also has the more conventional thermostatic inlet valve. But you are absolutely correct Michael Frigidaire did use the cycling thermostatic inlet valves here on Pulsamatic models, these cycling valves were an early electromechanical version of the electronic thermostatic cycling valves that were reintroduced on KM DD washers in the late 1980s.

Mrs. Teacher? This I learned today:

I am learning that interesting people collect interesting washers...

Cute photo, Jetcone. Yeah, I'd do the same thing with charcoal control towers... Rather like if I had a 1957 Citroen DS19.... Look, don't touch, don't even look so hard at my babies......

Yay for ozone lights! No chance of pesky germs in your laundry!

Glad you got the timer to work so no rebuilding is necessary. I'm assuming this is a filtrator dryer, correct?

Wow, Phil, they are just beautiful!  I am so glad the dryer timer issue was an easy fix - the dials all lit up are so 'space age'!

I am so glad you were able to save them!!

Looking forward to getting to see them in person soon, too.
