Need a Java Fix

Ok Kiddies..no laughing, but my computer ignorance is about to be seen.

I think I need to do something to allow Java scrips to operate.

Yahoo Messenger says it can't run becaue of this.
Similarly I can't access the chat-room for the same reason.

Why and how is it defaulting to this. How is it changing on its own, or is YM software getting corrupted that easily?

Try This

At the top of the browser, select Tools and then Internet Options. Then click on the Advanced tab. Find a checkbox that says JIT Compiler for Virtual Machine enabled. Check that box. Click Apply. Restart your machine. See what happens.

Glad Mike was able to help you, Tog. I'm so computer illiterate. That's part of the reason I use Macs. They're fairly idiot-proof. The only thing that saves me is this: Since I bring so much food to the lounge on Mondays, our computer tech guy helps me out with problems day or night. Food is the to a man's knowledge of computers.
