Jon, I personally agree with your comments about high heat. Since 2006 when I got my first front loader and they spin faster than my Kenmore top loader, medium became my new "hi" and delicate became my new medium and low temps on my Maytag Dependable Care 1994 dryer. My new LG dryer seems to have lower temperatures than the Maytag.
