I've always been a huge Beatles fan, and one of my favorites is Lennon's "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away", a song he supposedly wrote about their manager, Brian Epstein:

Anyway, the video for the song was part of their film "Help!", which supposedly was filmed inside Lennon's rented flat in London. For some reason the furnishings of this flat have stuck with me for 40 years. I love everything about it, from the pink designs in the front door glass to the couch and bookcase, and bed inside the basement (or whatever that depression is in the middle of the room, where Ringo is laying).
20 seconds into the video, we see a blue wall on the far side of the flat (behind where Lennon is sitting). It appears to have something like a change machine, vending machine, and coffee machine etc installed into it.
Anyone happen to know what those machines are? Am I missing something common about flats in England?
Thanks in advance!
