So, I FINALLY got this roller off my Portable Imperial 17. I had to disassemble half of the side but I got it. Now it seems to me that you can't just replace the plastic roller itself. I cannot get this piece apart to change the roller. Does anyone know the part number for this entire assembly or have one they'd like to sell?

I've looked on my parts lists for this machine and can't seem to be able to identify this piece and if I did I don't think it would have the new part number. I was able to find a new roller by itself which I have but I have a feeling this was meant to be replaced as an assembly and not just the roller.

Thank you Mark.

It's really odd. Your parts list is the same as mine for the KDI-17. The 57 is different which is so frustrating. Based on this list it looks like the roller has a thick screw that connects to a large bolt on the outside of the machine.

The 57 has is very thin and is a screw that goes in from the outside. Not at all like what is on this diagram. And to add insult to injury three of them are simple screws but one also holds the Fill Tube Retainer on the outside and is a different set up all together. And as luck would have it, that's the one that was broken.

I talked to Steve yesterday and he has one that looks like it will work so we're going to try that and see how it goes.

Just like every other machine I've worked on -- as frustrating as it is sometimes I learn something new every single time and that's always a good thing.
