I agree...

...if it really is NIB like they say it is. Since the ad is still up there (posted in November) my guess is that the price is keeping people away. Maybe they'd take an offer at this point.

I stumbled on this browsing through SearchTempest so I thought someone here at AW might be interested. Hopefully this "survivor" will find a good home.

This is the Superba model I had (KUDS220T4, bought 1/22/1992) which has been living with my sis/bro-in-law for several years.

It's a one-rinse wonder (with purges) but I never noticed any issues with that.

Reversing drain.

Soak & Scrub has water heating for the soak & prewash periods.
Soak -> Wash -> purge -> Rinse -> Wash -> purge -> Rinse -> Dry

Normal heats the first wash.
Wash -> purge -> Rinse -> Wash -> purge -> Rinse -> Dry

Light/China has no water heating (unless Sani Rinse is used).
Wash -> Rinse -> Wash -> purge -> Rinse -> Dry

Quick/Glass has a slightly shortened wash period IIRC, and eliminates the drying period if Energy Saver Dry is selected.  Sani Rinse is non-functional.
Rinse -> Wash - purge -> Rinse -> Dry

Had one for years in my previous house that was installed new and loved it. Cleaned beautifully.

Have another one now in this house as our second dishwasher in the garage. Love it as well.

If I was in the area and needed a dishwasher, I'd get it.

That's All Very Well

Am always leery of anything put up for sale without pictures, especially for that kind of money. I mean even the most inexpensive cell phones have built-in cameras.

Far too many scams and other bad things happening on the online classified community for one to travel any distance with that kind of money in my pocket.

My ISE Classic Supreme has similar functionality, but lacks the "Quick Glass" and "Sani-Rinse" options.  Otherwise the sequences shown above are identical.  I'm very pleased overall with how it has performed since I installed it last year.

$600 is kind of steep, but a brand new TOL dishwasher would cost the same or more, and there'd be a better chance you'd have to invoke the warranty, so the NIB series 22 isn't such a bad deal in comparison.  Still, I think the price will come down if the seller isn't getting any responses.

I'd go in and offer something. You could really play hard ball with this seller if you wanted since it has been up for a while. I'd offer $480 to start, and then see where it goes from there. Got nothing to lose! I would make this a daily driver for sure, sigh, too bad I'm up here in Nova Scotia!

Wasn't it a month ago or so a NIB ISE DW showed up?

This is one of the years where the side rails of the upper rack suffer from the vinyl separating from the steel and the steel rusting, a condition probably exacerbated by the amount of alkalinity left on the vinyl by the inadequate rinsing. It heats the first fill before circulating the water so it sprays heated water on cold dishes which very effectively cools the heated water. Meanwhile, the water is sitting and cooling in the lines so that the next fill is not hot. Another thing I loved was the lack of a constant rinse which meant that particles sometimes collected in any recesses in items in the top rack. It is a very quiet machine.

The NIB ISE showed up back in the spring.  Doug (retropia) snagged it for John's museum and shared pix here recently.

Tom, my series 22-based ISE doesn't heat the water first.  It starts right in and heats water while its circulating.  Intervals between fills aren't extended for heating and incoming water remains adequately hot even though the water heater is almost 25 feet away.  Nothing like the Thermador THD3600 that Nate recently gave a much deserved thrashing here, which would sit there and steam the contents for well over half an hour (if the steam option was selected), thus rendering the subsequent fills barely more than luke warm.  Are you referring to the Soak & Scrub option, which is exclusive to the KDS22?
