Congrats on the new washer!!! I'm with Peteski50, I too would like to know more information on this machine. And of course more pics in operation. You're mom must be so pleased with it. Please keep the info coming

Water Level

Here's a picture showing the water level during the wash. As you can see, when I push the door boot down, the water level is over the top (or bottom) of the drum. This is more than the other FL's that I've seen. Between this and the high water level rinse, I think the "sport" model uses more water than the HT or the super fancy kenmores, which I like. FL's are by design very frugal with water, so there's no point in going overboard.

Model Designation

Classic Whirlpool logo and Duet Sport logo on the detergent dispenser.

The Normal/Casual cycle, which is the one my mom normally uses is 51 min. long, which I don't think is that bad. Of course when I use it, I run it through the Heavy Duty Cycle with Extra Rinse 85 min long, and the longest cycle possible.

The Quick Wash cycle is 28 min long, which is equivalant to the normal cycle on the new Speed Queen FLs.

Can't right now as I won't be home for 2 weeks, but when I am I will update everyone on all the cycle information.

Sears powder detergent

I've used Sears powder for over 30 years. Love it. Cleans very well, low sudsing, pleasant smell without being like perfume.

Glad to get a report on the Duet Sport. I think they are a bit smaller than the Duet, an important aspect for me as my laundry is in the kitchen. I had a Duet set and loved them, but they were simply too big.

Good luck.
