New Zanussi

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Lovely samsung pics Samsungfl. The water shower from the top of the drum puts me in mind of the the early 1990's Zanussi Jetsystems which in my opinion were good machines in terms of performance but poor in terms of longevity. (And yes I know I currently own a Zanussi!) How long have you had the samsung now?

Secondly, great pics Chestermikeuk of the AEG, quite clearly obvious these days that AEG and Zanussi are part of the electrolux group. I would be interested to hear of the results given from that 1800rpm spin too!

More visually stimulating media should be put on soon of my beloved Zanussi as I have just received a bin liner full of cottons to wash for my mother's client!

Argh! Mike i want that machine lol

Sadose - Thanks for the pics!!! their fab
I just noticed they've changed the spray nozzel, my nans older zanussi sprays the load with a stream of water like the aeg, but yours its more of a flat spray lol (its hard to describe, you get what i mean tho?)

looking forward to some vids :op

my AEG....

I have an AEG 16810 washer dryer. with the dryer vent being at the 12 o clock position the jetsystem nozzle is at 2 o clock.... the water JUST dribbles down the front of the glass door, hence the official slant on it being " a 3 way wetting system" rubbish
I want a new zanussi!!!!!

Interesting point there bearpeter. I have to say I don't think that the Jetsystem spray on my Zanussi provides much in the way of functionality but I like looking at it so I'm not too bothered. I suppose it does aid in the saturation of washing at the top of the drum but to be honest I very rarely wash that amount in one load anyway.

Zanussi Jetsystem in motion...

Ok guys, first video of my Zanussi uploaded, see link. In brief just a short taster to the start of a 40 degree cotton cycle where you will be able to see the low fill level covers the lip of the drum before the jetsystem spray springs into action and the wash begins. I intend to do some more videos when we get onto the rinsing and spinning.

Videos

Right then, alongside the video mentioned in the previous message there are also 4 more on there giving a brief view of most of the wash cycle, covering intermediate spin in between rinses, a view of the final rinse and also the majority of the build up of the final spin as well as evidence on one of them of the balance control kicking in (that damn pink bath towel!!) Enjoy!

Wow:D i like that! very reminisant of my aeg! cept i prefer the jet on ur machine:D

Mike!-what did you think to your friends AEG then? once rinse + is activated i do think its quite effective! better than a beko! LOL!

Aeg

Darren

was very impressed with this machine, its super silent , and very quiet & stable on the 1800rpm, I couldnt feel any actual difference from the MaytAsko at 1600.

The directa jet really does soak the clothes, thesedays so long is taken up by dampening the clothes and then starting to wash only using the smallest amount of water to obtain the energy efficiency results....love the fact on the MaytAsko because its a timed first fill I can restart the machine and fill up to half way befor the pump kicks in...

The only other machine I found very efficient was the Titan, that used a power pump baffle jet spray, the jets are built into the three baffles and are super pumped into the tub...

Zanussi!!! Come sentirsi a casa...

I'm glade to hear you speaking of Zanussi Appliances...although now it's an Electrolux Co. brand, we're stil feeling as an Italian one :-))

In Italy there are two main appliances idustries: Merloni born thanks to Aristide Merloni, and Zanussi born thanks to Lino Zanussi. After the death of these two firmers, both industries became bigger and have been producing applianaces still now.

Merloni has got Ariston and Indesit brands, appreciate especially for the good esterior design, because they're not much realiable.
Zanussi was the creator of the best brands here in Italy, REX ("Fatti per essere il numero uno" is its slogan, "Done to be the one"), and Zoppas, my favourite brand since I was a child.

These with Candy (by Eden Fumagalli), was the five most important brands sold in Italy until we have known foreing brands as Siemens, AEG, Bosch when in the 1991 Whirlpool arrived in Italy too...

Now Whirlpool is the best not European brand sold in Italy...

That's all, I hope it will make you galde to hear this story...

Good Bye!
Diomede

PS: How could I forget SANGIORGIO!!!!! The brand of my parents first FL wahser, the one in front of I grew up!

I've just reviewed those videos I did! Is it me or have Zanussi machines got a LOT noisier over the years? I remember once upon a time if you bought a Zanussi you bought silence! My next door neighbours 20+ yr old Zanussi doesn't have any of the "motor squeal" when it spins, just a faint rumble at 800rpm for 9 minutes. I never thought a machine used every day since 198? with a 800rpm spin and no service or repair would spin tea towels good enough for them to go in my white knight 3kg dryer for 25 minutes and be totally bone dry! I was pleased she asked me to dry them because I was shocked!

mike!
thats some cool engineerin to make those jets work through the baffles! wow:d how cool!

Sadose! i did notice your videos were loud i thought that was odd for zanussi does sound & look like my aeg in terms of sound & tumbling.

i love old zanussis. high rinse levels on them were fab. i hate water deprived machines. least you can see the water in your zanussi!

Darren

Quiet

You`re right , machines are a lot noisier, Zanussi and Philco-Ford & Bendix all used large brushless motors, and the likes of the Zanussi 218T and the Bendix 7142 where almost silent...

But we LIKE noise!!!!just had the old Hoover twinny washing and it wouldnt be the same without the spinner taking off like a jet engine and the "Rattling" of all those belts at high speed!!!

Hi

Hi guys, Sadose i love ur zanussi washer, my zanussi is from 2001 !! and its a FJS1225W its a great machine, never gone wrong and is washing the clothes well!!! My Zanussi does spin in the rinses!! when it is running a long 60 or 90 degree cotton wash cycle it distrubutes with the jet on and then spins at about 500rpm with the jet on for about 30 seconds to rinse the washing. its amazing!! i'll post some pictures up of my zanussi washer soon, as i have a new phone.

Talk to you guys later

Pictures of my zanussi

Heres a picture of my Zanussi, a 2001 Zanussi Jetsystem 1200, FJS1225W, its a solid workhorse, nothing has gone wrong with it apart from a hair grip got stuck in the pump causing the pump to cut out as the hair grip was stuck in the impellor LOL!!
