Hi Mark,
I have to say I was very tempted to bid on your A3060 on Ebay, but alas it was too far away :-(. Although I do have relatives in Dunbar who could have possibly stored it for me, hehehe. It's good the A3060 went to another collector anyhows; I suppose there could be nothing worse than a novice buying any old washing machine, especially a collectable like that, and putting it in student accommodation! My mum also had the later version of the A3060, the A3110 from 1982 - the Electronic 1100 - which was an updated version of the A3060, but had the standard 85x60cm casing, had the same door as the Logics and Electrons, & had a door release button on the control panel instead of the silver door catch as well as a half load button. Have many childhood memories of sitting in front of both my nana's A3060 and A3110. Although I was always very careful with my nana's A3060, after I cut my hand open on the edge of the stainless steel control panel which was slightly prising off at the edges. She only replaced it because she won a WM25 almost 10 years ago now - if not nana said she'd probably still have her Hoover today! Unfortunately she has an even worse washer now than the WM25, one of those dreaded new Hotpoint's which is more or less a British made Ariston!
I always remember the timer sounds on my nana's and my mum's Hoovers - was always one click at the end of each tumble and two clicks before each tumble if I remember correctly? Also remember the great "ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh" spin sound - absolute classic. The A3060 twinned with the smell Persil non bio Microsystem as my nana used to use back then coming from the washer have to be some of my best and fondest washer memories.
What other machines do you have? Personally I have a Miele W2652WPS (the best machine I've ever used), AEG Lavamat 86741 and matching Lavatherm 57560 dryer, a 1984 AEG Lavamat 660, those are all in my bedroom and my mum has in the utility room a dead Bosch washer, and a matching Bosch dryer which is great. Talking of the dead Bosch washer, we're actually going to Curry's this afternoon to check new machines out

, and to bring this thread back to subject both I and my mum are really interested in the ZWF1437, which is the pushbutton version of Saj's Zanussi earlier in the thread.
Do you have MSN messenger at all? Most of us Brit members are all on there, often have 3 or 4 way chats

. And in terms of videos - youtube is supposed to be a good site to upload to. But I've had problems with putfile too lately - sometimes you just have to be really patient. If you have pictures, Webshots -
http://www.webshots.com, is what I find the best picture hosting site. Hope that helps!
Take care of yourself, nice to see another Brit member

.
All the best,
Jon
