Here’s my newest find that I picked up over the weekend. I had to drive two hours to get it, but it was well worth it. The console is a little beat up from people cleaning it but the inside still smells like new dishwasher, and there was no rust except for a little bit around the rinse aid dispenser …. It needs a new inlet valve and a rinse aid cap . Even came with the manuals … I’m probably going to install it in my kitchen and take out the 22 series that I currently have… My main question is what is the difference between the 21 and 22 series ?

Damn that’s so beautiful!! You got the good one with two arms plus the roof shower! I’ve been seeing a lot of these old KA’s on marketplace in pristine shape this may of been one I saw. Wish there was a sniff option here so I could smell the interior lol.

Hey at least the previous owners wiped it down and kept it clean, you have no idea how many used dishwashers I see that appear to have never had even a single wipe down in its entire life, their always covered in filth and drip marks from coffee and food. People are gross, so this is an even more awesome score! You will love it so much. Did the previous owner say anything about the usage if they used it at all of what??

That’s a great find, that’s the neat thing about dishwashers and sometimes clothes dryers. You find a lot of of them where people did not use them much or at all so we find these really great vintage machines.

There’s almost no significant difference between the 21 and the 22 series they both use the same pump and motor design. In fact it was only used in the 21 and 22 dishwashers.

I think your choice of which one of these to use would depend on the condition of each machine, and some of the major parts can be interchanged if you’re gonna keep one in strip the other one.

It’s neat that it was built in Canada. I assume that probably ended after whirlpool bot KitchenAid, but I don’t really know. Do you know anything about the history of KitchenAid in Canada?
