Cabrio

Cabrio (or French Cabri) means "GOAT"

And we all know what goats do. They eat everything in sight. With a name alluding to a machine that eats clothes, they should stick that on all their DD machines.

I much rather the name "Oasis" than CABRIO

But they're the same awesome machines. I'll have to go take a look at them.

No, it has the disk just like the Oasis. Very same machine except for the brand name and the windows are clear instead of tinted.

Does anyone know where I can find a full page ad for the Kenmore Oasis?

Thank you for sharing the ad. I think the dryer looks rather sad. With the tinted window the Kenmore dryer looks better IMHO.

Yeah, the dryer looks like it has a big mouth kinda like you see on Peanuts cartoons. The Oasis's window has more of a "Smile" than the Whirlpool.

Hey cabrio in flemish means convertable (is this spelled right?). If its not clear it a car without a roof. I like the fact that those machines are build. Energy efficient and toploading. But does they realy wash as clean as possible. Hopefully they do!!

The Cabrio does have an agitator

No wash discs in this machine. Has a huge stainless steel tank and has all that roundness of the Maytag Nepture TL. I don't know why they came out with this one. Saw it at Lowes last week.

Well Jason, I guess you've forgotten about the last version of Hamilton dryers with a very similar window. I think WP is paying homage to that style, after all, the first LK Combos had a rectangularish window very similar to Hamiltons. I'm just gonna have to go to Lowes tomorrow and check this out, since I've wanted to see what this new agitator looks like.

According to the whirlpool web-site, this machine "is specifically designed without a space consuming agitator". Does this mean NO agitator or just a different kind???

In fact, I couldn't believe that THAT machine would have an agitator instead of the washplates as found in those type machines. But I actually did see it. That what I am curious about- Why Whirlpool? What is this machine about anyway?

The Whirlpool Rep hasnt come and given us any information on the Cabrio, but the Oasis has two different models... The Agitator with TA, and the other with the plate. IIRC the Whirlpool too will have both available. I will check back when the rep tells us!

That Lowes ad wasn't in today's paper. Probably will be in the usual spot--Wed. or Thurs. paper. I may go see about it tomorrow.

Bob, I saw the ad on a page in Parade magazine (I think it was Parade, whatever comes with the Victoria Advocate). Not a separate Lowe's circular.

Glenn, I saw it in the Parade Magazine. It's also on Lowe's web site and the Duet Sport HT is now on Whirlpool's web site.
