"In and of itself, that could ruin his chance."

Who knows? McCain MIGHT be able to woo reluctant conservatives back if he chooses his running mate wisely.

Interesting discussion on this mornings "Meet the Pricks".

One theory put forth is since MCCain is likely only looking for his four years of grandeur, he could be a real renegade once he is sworn in. That could be a good thing. A return of the old McCain "maverick"?

The scary part is, given his hair-trigger temper and Hawkish mentality, he also has nothing (politically) to loose if he should decide to obliterate another country. Iran was mentioned.
(IMO Reagan should have obliterated them as soon as we got the hostages back.) But in any event, the old addage about doing battle with a skunk rings true. It doesn't matter who wins or loses, everybody ends up stinking.

IMO unless Iran forces everybody's hand, we should avoid an all out war due to the economic catastrophe it would cause for all of us. Of course, all bets are off if Iran stupidly confronts Israel with a serious do or die threat.

Here is my take on the whole thing...I think that Obama is a fraud. He talks but thats all he does. His voting record speaks volumes. Yet to me there is something not right with him. I think that once the majority of his backers wake up they will see he doesnt amount to much. And gawd i have to say this but damn it can he even pronounce Massachusetts right?!?! When I hear him say Massatwosetts my hair stands on end. Its MassaCHEWsetts ya moron. He has not been called on the carpet for it and there is plenty of other words he mangles.
Clinton needs to refind her voice. There is no doubt to me that she is ready and when I hear what she has to say it somehow makes alot of sense to me. I think we do need a woman in the oval office this time. and as she said in one debate..."It took a Clinton to clean up after the first Bush..it will probably take a Clinton to clean up after the 2nd Bush. I believe that she will be better than what Obama can do. She will hit the ground running as president.
Now if you look at Obama's friend...Deval Patrick...the one that Obama "copied"...he hasnt done much for Massachusetts...he certainly had a few hiccups when he got into the corner Office on Beacon Hill. Now his approval ratings are heading to the toilet. This is something that has not gone unnoticed here in Massachusetts.
McCain...he is old and I dont think that he would be a good choice. But I have to say that as long as it isnt Romney. When I saw Romneys speech on tv his true colors came thru...and he plans on running again but that speech will come to haunt him. Thats my 2 cents.

Hillary does need to refind her voice, on the radio here, they say she sounds like Laughing Sal at Kennywood. You are right about Obama, the way he pronounces MA makes my hair stand on end - and I live in PA!. As for McCain, at least he will smell better than Barack. I agree, Romney is a creep.
