snow in NC...

my folks lived in Greensboro NC for 8 yrs, both having been born & raised in Melrose Mass 1920s to 50s. When NC got an inch or 3 of snow folks tended to go absolutely berserk, having little to no snow removal equipment, no snow driving experience and no proper snow tires, much less the studded tires we Northern New Englanders truly love. Be careful!!

Saturday's "Mini-Meet" Postponed

Guys,

I just spoke with Mrs. Jones and she'd like for us to wait until next Saturday, same place, same time. I think this is best anyway as the forecast is calling for freezing rain in that area. Snow is okay, but no one can go on ice.

A VERY GOOD IDEA

I think Mrs. Jones made the correct calling on this. The snow has started here now and is suppose to fall thru tomorrow morning. Temps are going to be very low and like Rich said no one needs to drive on ice. Everyone be safe and we will plan for next weekend.

Ron Jones estate

Hopefully I'll be able to be there this coming Saturday morning, I'm only bringing a minivan as there's a little I need but if there's anything I can do to help his parents deal with this stuff it would be great and hopefully I'll buy some stuff and help them out cash wise.

Looking forward to seeing everybody hopefully the weather will be better than it was this weekend.

62 Kenmore...

Wow, my Mom had one almost exactly like that for many years... brings back good memories!

"Moparwash" thanks, that one went to Sweden a couple years ago, to be replaced by another '58 (my favorite year) an Olds Super 88. Had a '58 DeSoto before that (hence my AW.o "handle"),

Good luck at the NC "meetup" folks! Nice of everyone to help out Ron's parents!
Would love to come and get a pink or yellow '58 FD 40" range, but....

Would LOVE more photos of the Super 88!  Before I learned to drive my parents had a 98 of this vintage.  It also was a 4-door sedan.  Unfortunately for me, they traded it off before I got even my learners' permit.  Ours had problems that my dad could neither repair nor explain, and we were not in a position to take it to the dealer or other such "real" mechanic.  Those were awesome automobiles.

Late Comers NOTE:

Mrs. Jones called and we talked for a bit. I discovered that Ron also had stuff at storage units. If you get to Ron's house tomorrow and nobody is there, we will be at:

Village Mini Storage
1221 Rockingham Rd.
Rockingham, NC

Thank you.

Did you guys meet today?

I'm just up in Virginia and just found this thread tonight (I haven't been on the forum since before Christmas, unfortunately). Did anyone get the 1963 refrigerator? If it is non-working, I would love to buy some parts for my 1963 Frost Proof Imperial. Thanks!
