For the first time in your life-feel really clean
Get that Zest glow-from head to toe Z E S T--Zest!
The 1958 ad with the hot hunk showering with it on black and white television, I've looked for it on YouTube, but that gem hasn't shown itself yet. I love that product, I'm going to stock up on it while I can.

The last time I bought Zest
about a year ago, I would have been glad to have had it discontinued then.
What I bought turned out to be plain soap, with a scent that was not really the Zest scent. I was expecting hard water Zest. (My town's water is on the border of hard).
P & G.......profit and gain! (Seems that they have little or no loyalty TO the customer now.)

P&G sold off the bar soap manufacturing plant several years ago (St. Bernard Soap Company)...think this is just them monetizing the Zest brand.
I've noticed Zest is one of the lowest priced name brands on the shelf and has been for quite some time. Only the really cheap and/or store brands cost less. Based on that, the news comes as no surprise.

I've not been happy with ZEST since the reformulation, either. I was especially unhappy when P&G dropped their Whitewater Fresh version, which many folks, including me, really liked. I even wrote P&G a letter, protesting their reformulation and their dropping the WF version. I got a standard letter back, stating that the changes were due to demographics, preferences, etc., but my comments would be forwarded to the ZEST team. I've heard MANY complaints about the changes. Wonder if this company aquiring ZEST will go back to the original formulation and bring back the scents we liked?

One Of My Favorites
I remember one Zest "slogan" from the 60's in particular:
OOOOH, what lather, shampoo lather,
OOOOH, feel shampoo clean all over with Zest!
Zest is one of my favorite brands and I'll also need to do a stock up. But, I was curious as to what happened to the "shampoo lather" claim. I guess I know now.
I use mostly bar soap, and do have an arsenal of shower gels (but none of the Zest variety). I use a body pouf and do a good scrub down about 2 times a week. However, I don't use shower gels on some body parts, so I leave that to bar soap.
