Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Thanks Steve

I can't wait to have the rest done!

Yes the Benjamin Moore stuff was expensive, $35 a gallon....
BUT it was done right by a really nice guy at the local hardware store, and I didn't have to fight crowds or deal with attitude that you get at Home Depot or Lowes.
To me it was worth every penny to have it done right the first time!

Thanks Steve!

I'm glad its done, and at least now the paint smell has faded away.
One more room to go!
This was a project for me, never really been much of a painter, so I was not sure if I was doing it right or not. I went at it with the goal of having more on the walls than on me or Jack, and I accomplished that.
My dad LOVES painting, I have a couple of friends who do as well, and the whole time I was doing this I was thinking "What the hell is so much fun about this?"
Maybe I have to paint some more? An aquired taste perhaps?

Ooooh, I love that turquoise! When do we get to see the peach walls?

I think you should use the turquoise in your bedroom, too; it'd go really well with your comforter.

I totally agree with Greg--Convertible hood sconces would be the icing on the cake!

The peach is there...

the walls are done Veg, now just have to do the trim. I have to go but that paint still though!

Wow, Jeff.
I couldn't imagine what it was going to look like, but it looks fab! And of course it should, the 1070 is the prettiest machine ever built. I dare you to make drapes out of a 4017 bag!

the 1070 is the prettiest machine ever built.

I have to agree with you on that one Bobby, that is one beautiful machine, and one of my favorites too.
Now if you could just convince my mother those colors look nice in the same room, life would be good.
Sometimes there's no pleasing Gladys!

You have me stumped on the 4017 though, I don't have one of those, so I don't know what the bag looks like.

I was thinking I'd make the drapes out of Eureka bags, not much use for those right? (ducks and runs!)
LOL

Jeff

Those colors really did come out nice! Can't wait to see it with that great bedspread of yours! I agree that spending more for quality will give you better results in the long run! Great job!

Ha ha, Eureka bags. Very funny. THe 4017 is the beige/brown flower power bag! You must be slipping, Jeff. Even the Hoover hater knows the model # of the flower power bag! (hiding behind the Eureka)

Slipping?? MOI???

Nah Bobby I'm not slipping, I just don't know everything, and thats the place in Hoover history where they went bazooey with the model #'s and I can't keep up with them all. I can look the 4017 up and see it was a promo model 1973-74, but no picture or colors. There were also about 8 other Convertibles in the line at that time as well, so many variations on a single theme!
Flower power eh??? What does the rest of it look like?

Now come out from behind that Eureka, as soon as I take that bag there won't be anything to hide behind! {GRIN}

Marty: Thanks for the nice words, I am happy with it. Now to just get it done and face the next challenge - picking out carpeting!
Can you say sensory overload?

Like me when I was looking at this thread. I guess I was too dazzled by the Dial-A-Matics to notice the peach walls.

Well, so I'm easily distrac..oooh, donuts!

Not too skilled at the palate

Would never think to mix colors as you so professionally did. Learned a lot--thanks and so glad I made you laugh-- again ! Now I'm going to go and tar the light switches.

I love the trim.. I think it has come out quite nice...
The trim on the outside of my house is simlar to that

thanks

Its so nice that I want to make it my room! Well the downside is its 1/2 the size of my room 10 x 12 -vs- 15 x 16 and the bathroom is not attached to it either. I am planning on moving into it for a bit after the holidays are over so I can get my room painted, then I can get the carpeting replaced.

Any suggestions on carpet styles or colors?

HI Jeff, The rooms looks great! I bet it feels wonderful to have him gone too? How about Kirby red for your bedroom? Just want you to know that the 4'harmonic flute on the swell will be playing before Christmas too.Have fun. Gary
