The edge of the spinner cover does fit under a "lip" at the top of the spinner drum. The problem is that either the spinner cover is so light weight that is "distorts" under the G forces of spinning, or it doesn't go far enough under the lip.
It has only let go on me one time, but that was enough! With the cuts in it, it won't stay on for more than 3 minutes.
