Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Well, since we're including friends along with pets...

Here's what I listen to when I wake up every morning.. It cracks me up how he just 'wings' the parts of the song he hasn't learned yet, just like a human:

OK, here are pics of the ones we currently have:

This is Lady a 5 year old Australian Shepard who is just one little love bug. She is very sweet and gentle. I pulled her from the shelter as she was being taken into the euthanasia room. She was very sick with pneumonia and various infections. She is all recovered now. Once she recovered I found out that she was completely obedience trained! She is scheduled to go to a 80 year old woman as a companion dog. She is a true companion, she follows me everywhere.

And this is Sammy

He's a 7 year old Chocolate Lab who is very calm and laid back. He just loves to be with people. Since he is 7 years old all that wild ass behavior that Labs are known for is behind him. But he still plays a great game of Frisbee and ball. He is scheduled to start heartworm treatment in two weeks. Sammy also was in bad shape when I got him, but we fattened him up and his health improved. After we saw how nice and gentle a dog is was, we decided to keep him for ourselves!

And this is Buddy

this dog is living proof that when you lose a dog and then replace it with another of the same kind, you won't get what you are looking for.
Buddy was my first rescue from the shelter. He is truly a wild ass dog. Buddy is two years old. He listens most of the time, but even though he has been neutered he still tries to escape the yard and wander through the neighborhood. this keeps us on constant watch, but fortunately his days of wandering are over due to a new fence. But he is learning slowly but surely his obedience. He is very hard headed. The problem with him is that he is so lovable and affectionate. When he's bad, he comes up to you and showers you with kisses. He's got the sympathy game down perfectly!

And lastly, you have seen this one before. This is a photo of Brandy our 11 year old Lab/Golden mix. She's a wonderful dog. We got her from our vet 9 years ago when she was abandoned by her owners there. She was the ultimate wild ass dog. The vet had her adopted out three times and she came back each and every time because she was too wild. So I took her in on a trial basis and over a weekend we fell in love with her. All she needed was love and attention and some direction. I found her VERY easy to train. Within 6 weeks of adopting her she calmed down a great deal and became a near perfect companion.
The other black lab behind her is Kurt, the black lab we lost last year due to a brain tumor. We still miss him today...

~aka Zephyr (yes, I know Zephyr was a male diety - I didn't name her). How she appears to mortals:

I met a girl named Zephyra and boy was she full of wind and could she talk!

So there you have it; add an "A" and change genders!

Great thread!

Animals always get my heart. Every time.

Here's my Rudy...he'll be 16 years old in August. I've had him since he was 8 weeks old. Most wonderful dog I've ever had!

And here's my Ben...Ben was hanging around work. No residential areas nearby, the vet thinks he was just dumped. He's a very friendly and sociable cat, won the hearts of everyone at work. The vet figures he's about a year old. I adopted him last year in October. He's added a lot of joy and laughter to the household.

But then...that's what animals do.
