Sorry it has taken so long to get these, but here they are! The Laundry guide pops up and is illuminated by a 15w bulb that I changed to a 25w bulb! Mark
Just off the truck! This dryer we discovered has a feature that you can set on the Wash and wear setting, change the lint filter configuration, and it can be used as a room heater. The the room reaches the preset level, the dryer will automatically shut off! I'll take photos of this feature later and show you all how it works!
...the Rotoswirl with the missing doodad for the fabric softner......gotta find one of these! At exactly the right moment, the fabric softner cup is turned over and added to the washtub! (that little hole on the left of the machine is where the softner cup should go....
Thanks a BILLION, Mark for the pics! My favorite one is the one w/ the dial lit up. AWESOME! They look like you just rolled them off the sales floor at Sears in 1958. I know you’re gonna have fun playing with your new toys. ENJOY!
Hooray for pop up AND illuminated laundry guides. And the big K agitator, I used to like putting my hand on my moms when it was running, tickles the palm.. try it you'll see.. LOL
Mark those are just beautiful! Congratulations, there are a lot of similarities between the 1957 set and the 1958 set and yet many differences as well. I never knew the '58 set had a fabric softener cup that flipped over. Looking forward to some action shots, then I think we need a special Lady Kenmore Photo album, I will try and work on that soon.
Hi Kevin!
Yes these were made by Whirlpool for Sears. I don't know if they had a comparable machine in the Whirlpool line or not, but I don't think they did. As soon as I get the time, I will break down both machines and thoroughly clean and restore them to like new condition. By the way, the Frigidaire dryer is a beautiful machine in pretty much mint condition. It's a filtrator. Mark
Mark,
Thank you for the detail pictures!! Those already look almost showroom new, what awesome machines, Pull up guides, clothes racks, room heaters.. just awesome. Thank you once again for saving and sharing such great machines.
